Yep, that's me.

Holistic thinker, playful, generalist lead product designer (and I even have hobbies!)

My path to, and within, product design has been one of collecting building blocks and experiences to become a well-rounded, lead product designer.

I started as a graphic designer, doing freelance work + teaching graphic design to middle schoolers as a high schooler.

My college experience pushed me to explore the history of medicine + medical anthropology, where I found my love of ethnographic research. I honed my ability to detect complex problems + patterns, especially for disadvantaged groups in the medical system.

I fell in love with product design because I get to combine my passions for design + learning deeply about people's behaviors, which is how I ended up sub-matriculating into the Integrated Product Design Program at Penn for my Master's degree (and being a teacher's assistant while designing menstrual cups for athletes).

I am currently the Lead Product Designer at Subject, where I am utilizing both my product and design strengths to bring high quality online education to all students, regardless of their zip code. I work on complex systems in a highly regulated industry — it's what I love sinking my teeth into. As part of my work, I've shipped my first ever PR - contributing important code to Subject's codebase. I love to read up on industry trends and stay on technology's cutting edge. For the 4 years before that, I was the sole Product Designer at Assembly, growing into a leadership role and designing enterprise tools to facilitate the engagement and celebration of teams at work. In this job, I work quickly, prioritize ruthlessly, and have cross-functional relationships to ensure smooth handoff from design to development.

When I'm not designing, I'm watching stand-up comedy (some of my favorites are Natalie Rotter-Laitman, Sam Taggart, + Ayo Edebiri), cooking, or playing (and watching) women's soccer (Go Angel City!!).

I'm still working on getting my portfolio up to date, but here's a list of some other projects I've enjoyed working on:

At Subject:

  • Design a zero-to-one suite of AI products for teachers and students, including…

    • An AI-supported grading system

    • A teacher's assistant that builds worksheets and identifies at-risk students

    • An AI tutor to help students (but not give away answers) that is there for them 24/7

  • Design scorebook for teacher overview of student grades

  • Design new question types for complex interactions to help kids test their knowledge

  • Create new brand treatments for Middle School course offerings

  • Re-design educator homepage experience

At Assembly:

  • Built the design system

  • Designed an automated challenges feature to help motivate employees to hit their goals

  • Incorporated AI to summarize survey content, ask questions about content in connected tools, and AI reporting and insights

  • Designed a browser extension-based audio 'Huddle' experience

  • Designed and re-designed our mobile app

At U.S. Soccer:

  • Design a player portal to act as the main point of contact between elite players and their coaches

My Master's in Integrated Product Design Thesis:

  • Catch Menstrual Cups - menstrual care optimized for athletes

At Banza (as an intern):

  • Run sweeping research study to determine if Banza should expand into the 'sauce' category

  • Test new products and set quality assurance standards for existing pasta shapes
